How long will my appointment take?

All makeup appointments (excluding weddings) are booked for 1.5 hours. Sometimes, your appointment might not take this long.

Formals

Do you do school formals?

Usually, no. I have a Monday - Friday job that prevents me from catering to formal bookings. However, this 2019 season, I have some availability.

What hours do you take bookings?

Monday to Friday after 4.30pm

Weekends are full hours, day or night.

Long weekends/Public Holidays are subject to change.

How do I go about making a Hair Extension booking?

At this stage, I do not keep hair in stock. However, ordering only takes 1-2 days. It is important to give me as much notice as possible, so that I can order in your set in time for your appointment. I like to allow at least 1 week where possible.

Do you also do hair styling?

I do basic hair styling. Curls, Hollywood Waves, etc.
I do not do bridal hair or up styles.

A makeup and curls package is $115 and goes for 2 hours.

Hair Styling

What is your studio like?

I have a gorgeous white and baby blue studio in the front of my home, separate from the rest of the house, sitting on a new and quiet street just off Schofields Road. It is brightly lit, clean, comfortable and sleek. Sparkly white tiles and a large, full length lean mirror, makes a beautiful spot for selfies after your glam is complete.

If you're a dog person, I have two awesome dogs who would love to join in, get some pats, sit on your lap and enjoy your company. If not, that's ok, they have a whole house and family to occupy them instead.

| Emails & Inquiries |

  • All booking and inquiries are to be made at bookings@taylormaree.com.au, this will ensure that no information is lost or missed. Please, do not DM me for bookings.

  • Please allow 24 hours for a response to your email. If your inquiry is urgent, for example, if you're needing a last minute appointment, you're running late or change of time/date, etc, please feel free to txt my mobile 0402 826 915

  • Unconfirmed bookings can be held for only 12 hours. After this time, your appointment may be offered to another client if there is one requesting the same time (this does happen frequently, so it’s critical to be speedy)

    Bridal - $200.
    With the remaining balance paid in cash on the day (Bridal 7 days in advance). Please try to have exact change, I sometimes will be able to break notes but not always. You may transfer the balance ahead of time if you prefer.

 

| Appointment changes, running late, cancellations |

  • It is absolutely critical to let me know as soon as possible, if you are late or need to make changes, this will give me the best chance to accommodate the changes.

  • If you need to change your time/date, please email me at bookings@taylormaree.com.au (or txt if it is last minute)

  • If you are running late, please txt or call me on 0402 826 915. Please do not use your phone while driving, pull over first.

  • If you need to cancel, please email me at bookings@taylormaree.com.au (or txt if it is last minute)

  • If you are running late, and I am booked back to back, I may not be able to complete your service. I will do absolutely everything I can to accommodate! But please be aware that being on time is best for both you and me

  • IT DOESN’T MATTER HOW LATE YOU ARE, PLEASE DO NOT SPEED! DRIVE SAFELY! NO APPOINTMENT OR LOST FEES ARE WORTH RISKING YOURS OR OTHER PEOPLE’S SAFETY FOR.

| Mobile Makeup |

  • I will bring with me, a chair and lighting and an extension cord

  • If possible, it would be beneficial for me to be set up in direct natural lighting, if that isn’t possible, I will need access to a power point, I will have an extension cord if needed

  • Parking will need to be provided close to the location, I have 3-4 heavy pieces of equipment that I bring with me. If this is not possible, please advise me ahead of time. Additionally, any parking costs will be invoiced to the client (parking meter, hotel parking etc

 

| Preparation|

SKIN

  • Please exfoliate and moisturise your skin the night before, then no need to do anything the day of your appointment

  • Please also make sure you come to your appointment with no makeup on 

  • Drink lots of water, in the lead up to your appointment (and every day in general) it will help your skin re hydrate which will make your makeup sit and last better

HAIR

  • If you’re having hair styling too, please wash the day before. 

HAIR EXTENSIONS

  • Please make sure that you thoroughly wash your hair before your appointment. Ideally, this should be done the morning of your booking, if possible, but no later than the night before.

  • Double shampoo

  • Do not apply conditioner to the roots

  • Make sure everything is 110% rinsed out

  • Do not apply any other products to the roots

  • This is critical as it will give your hair the best chance to securely attach to the extensions without slipping


| Lipstick, Lip gloss, touch up|

  • If you can, I highly recommend bringing with you a lipstick or lip options, that way you will have something to touch up with. If not, that’s ok, I have lip palettes and can mix shades up, even though they are long wearing, they won’t last the entire day/night due to eating, drinking etc.

  • If you require a touch up kit, which contains a scraping of your lipstick, a lip brush, a small amount of translucent powder and a puff, these can be purchased for $10, if you just require the lipstick and lip brush, this can be purchased for $5.
    This is a great option if you are prone to getting oily skin later in the day, or if you are going to be in the heat or humidity, though they are not essential, your makeup is built to last the day, except for you lipstick will need to be reapplied

 

| Allergies/illness |

  • Please advise me before your appointment if you have any allergies to anything at all, not just to makeup products, let me know if you have any food allergies, plants, pets, dust, etc. 

  • If you have a reaction to a product and you haven’t told me you may be allergic to an ingredient, Taylor Maree Sydney Makeup Artist will not be held responsible.

  • If you have a severe illness (the flu etc) or a cold sore or any other skin infection of any kind, on the day of your appointment, you will need to let me know beforehand as I will not be able to do your service. This is very important. If you arrive, and you have any of the above, I will have to cancel your appointment and you will be liable to pay your remaining balance. If you let me know ahead of time, and can provide a doctors certificate, then I will be able to refund your deposit, we get sick, I understand that, so I am happy to accommodate.

  • It is very important to the health of yourself, myself and other clients that services are not performed on anyone with any of these active skin conditions. I am so sorry for any disruption this may cause, but the health of everyone (which includes you) who sits in my chair is paramount. 

 

| Permission to publish |

  • By agreeing you appointment, you agree to allow me to use photographs / footage on my socials etc, without limitation.

 

| Professional photos |

  • If you are having a professional photographer taking photographs while you are getting ready, I kindly ask, if possible, that when you receive those photos, could you please send me any that include me, it’s lovely to have memories of the times I have spent with you all.

  • Also, it would be so greatly appreciated if you pick out a couple photos from your event that you would be happy for me to feature on my website, for future clients to see. 

| Other important information |

  • I have 2 dogs. Aston is small and barks his little head off, but he’s a sweet a heart and just wants a belly rub, which you are more than welcome to give. Winnie is currently a puppy, but she will get BIG. She’s a bear and loves people. Both are great with kids, if you’re bringing them with you. The little one is just loud and jumpy so he might startle you, but he’s just so excited to meet you. However, they are both behind a baby gate, away from the door and the studio, so you don’t have to meet them if you don’t want to J Please, let me know if you have a pet allergy and how severe it is so that I can be sure to accommodate.
     

​Bridal.

| Trials |

Booking a trial does not guarantee your wedding day reservation unless a separate deposit for the wedding day is provided.  However, you will be notified before your trial if I am no longer available on your wedding day, I will refund the deposit for your trial in this circumstance.

| Booking fees & payments |

  • Booking fees are $250 and are not refundable

  • Your balance is due 7 days before your wedding date

  • I cannot accept cash on the day for bridal parties
